Background

I followed a unique training pathway in Oral and Maxillofacial Head and Neck Surgery, combining broad extensive clinical training and sound scientific grounding to support clinical practice. I studied both clinical dentistry and medicine and completed extensive training in the UK. During the time spent in the UK, I completed two Masters and a PhD in facial and jawbone reconstruction. I then went to work as a consultant surgeon in the UK prior to moving to the New Zealand. I am fortunate to be one of the most qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in Western Europe and Australasia.

Patient care is the fundamental reason for my professional existence, and patients and their families, who are partners during their journey. I apply a holistic patient care approach founded on evidence-based practices. Transparent communication, regular reporting on outcomes and patient full engagement are the main principles to my practice. With this in mind, Muammar provides timely access to advice and support. I consult at multiple locations in attempt at providing local service to my patients and operate at multiple hospitals so I can offer my patients the choice and the best possible quality treatment in a timely manner.
